System Overview
The RavenMC leveling system is a unique feature that sets our server apart from other Minecraft servers. Each player begins their journey with a novice raven companion that can be evolved and upgraded through gameplay.
As you complete activities, defeat enemies, and build within our world, you'll earn Raven XP that allows you to progress through five distinct tiers of raven evolution.

Raven Evolution Tiers
Your raven companion will evolve through five distinct tiers as you level up. Each tier grants access to new abilities and perks.
Novice Raven
Levels 1-10
The first stage of your raven companion. A small, purple-tinged bird that follows you around and learns basic commands.
Requirements to Unlock
- Join the server
- Complete the welcome tutorial
- Claim your Raven Egg
Abilities
- Basic crafting recipes
- Small inventory (3 slots)
- Item retrieval (10 block radius)
- Illumination (night vision 1min)
- 1 Home location
Adept Raven
Levels 11-25
Your raven grows slightly larger, with more pronounced purple hues and sharper features. It begins to develop basic magical abilities.
Requirements to Unlock
- Reach Level 10
- Collect 1000 Raven XP
- Craft a Raven Amulet
- Feed your raven 5 Enchanted Golden Apples
Abilities
- Improved crafting (4 unique recipes)
- Medium inventory (6 slots)
- Basic flight (30 seconds)
- Enemy detection (30 block radius)
- Resource highlighting (ore detection)
- 3 Home locations
Expert Raven
Levels 26-50
Your raven now sports distinctive purple feathers and glowing eyes. It can cast more complex spells and assist you in combat.
Requirements to Unlock
- Reach Level 25
- Collect 5000 Raven XP
- Defeat the Enhanced Ender Dragon
- Craft a Raven Emblem
- Complete 15 daily quests

Master Raven
Levels 51-75
A majestic bird with dark purple feathers and arcane runes glowing across its body. Capable of powerful magic and significantly enhancing your abilities.
Requirements to Unlock
- Reach Level 50
- Collect 15000 Raven XP
- Complete the Void Citadel dungeon
- Craft a Raven Talisman
- Discover all 8 hidden shrines

- Master crafting (12 unique recipes)
- XL inventory (12 slots)
- Advanced flight (5 minutes)
- Custom home dimension access
- Advanced magic abilities (4 spells)
- Auto-repair of tools and armor
- Weather control commands
- 8 Home locations
Legendary Raven
Levels 76-100
The final evolution of your raven companion. A mythical being with ethereal purple wings, cosmic energy flowing through it, and the ability to manipulate reality within the server.
Requirements to Unlock
- Reach Level 75
- Collect 50000 Raven XP
- Defeat the Void Lord raid boss
- Craft a Legendary Raven Crown
- Complete all 30 server achievements
- Find all 12 Cosmic Fragments

Leveling Progression
Follow these steps to level up your raven companion and unlock new abilities:
Claim Your Raven Egg
When you first join RavenMC, you'll receive a Raven Egg. Right-click with the egg to hatch your companion. This will begin your journey as a Novice Raven Keeper.
Earn Raven XP
Complete activities around the server to earn Raven XP. Mining, building, fighting monsters, completing quests, and participating in events all reward XP. The more challenging the activity, the more XP you'll earn.
Level Up Your Raven
Use the /raven level command to see your current progress. When you have enough XP, use /raven evolve to attempt to evolve your raven to the next tier (if you meet all other requirements).
Craft Required Items
Each evolution tier requires crafting special items. Find the recipes in the Raven Grimoire or by speaking to the Raven Master in the main hub. These items require rare materials found throughout the world.
Complete Special Challenges
Higher tiers require completing specific challenges like defeating bosses, finding hidden locations, or mastering certain skills. Check your /raven challenges menu to see what you need to accomplish.
Evolve Your Raven
When all requirements are met, visit the Raven Shrine in the main hub to perform the evolution ritual. Your raven will transform, gaining new abilities and a more impressive appearance.
Raven XP Requirements

XP-Earning Activities
There are many ways to earn Raven XP on our server. Here are some of the most popular activities:
Building
Create structures and artistic builds. The more blocks placed and the higher the complexity, the more XP you'll earn.
Mining
Collect resources by mining various ores. Rarer ores provide more XP.
Combat
Defeat monsters and bosses to earn combat XP. Special mobs and bosses award bonus XP.
Quests
Complete daily and weekly quests from the Raven Master to earn substantial XP rewards.
Exploration
Discover new biomes, structures, and hidden locations throughout the world.
Events
Participate in server-wide events like building competitions, PvP tournaments, and special challenges.
